HEPHZIBAH"The Lord will take delight in her"
Welcome to Hephzibah, Cambridge!
We are a non-denominational group of local Christians who have a heart for God’s ongoing work in Israel and amongst Jewish people, everywhere.
In common with most believers, we hope and pray that Jewish people – and all people – will have the joy of encountering Yeshua ha Massiasch as Lord and as Saviour, and to experience the life changing wonder of the gospel of grace.
What does Hephzibah mean?
Hephzibah (literal English “my delight is in her”) figures briefly in the Bible’s Second books of Kings (2 Kings 21:1). More importantly Hephzibah is a symbolic name for Zion once it has been restored to the favour of God (Isaiah 62:4). It reminds us that God has made certain promises to Israel, and ultimately to give Israel a new name. In our Cambridge group, we seek to understand these truths and to work out what they mean for life in the twenty first century – as well as what they mean for the future of this God-rejecting world.
Where do we meet
Hephzibah is not tied to any particular location or venue, other than to say we meet in Cambridge. Often we meet in the Addenbrooks area, but if invited elsewhere we are always willing to.
It is best to look at our diary section for events and venues. If in any doubt, please just drop us a line via the contact page.
